Permanent 20 hours (With the opportunity of additional 5 hours)
Salary: £8.82 per hour
Hours available: – Must be available to work weekends plus additional hours during the week.
Who we are
Supporting Options is a small social care provider who offer quality services to adults with learning disabilities and mental health. Support workers support service users on a 1:1 basis in their own tenancies and with every aspect of daily living. Service users are also supported to take part in community activities.
What are we looking for?
We are currently seeking to employ a Support Worker to join our dedicated team.
We are looking for a person who has the ability to work in a person centred way, is enthusiastic, professional, self-motivated, able to work alone and as part of a team and has a sense of humour.
You will be responsible for providing dedicated 1:1 support to a number of service users.
You will support with:
Shopping, cooking ,healthy eating, cleaning, emotional wellbeing, building relationships, safety in the home, spiritual and cultural needs, risk taking, going out and about in the community .
Ability to communicate effectively in English, which includes being able to actively listen to and follow instructions from your service user
Aged 18 or over
Valid driving license and access to a car
Previous experience in a similar role.
Proof of eligibility to live and work in the UK
- 28 days’ paid holiday pro rata according to number of hours worked. (This includes bank holiday entitlement )
